An upscale sports bar that doubles as an events space and brunch spot will open Nov. 14 in Midtown.
The Ainsworth at 206 21st Ave. S. in the Aertson Midtown development will serve craft cocktails, local beer and indulgent menu items such its mac and cheese burger.
The Nashville outpost is the first in Tennessee for The Ainsworth parent company Paige Hospitality Group. The Ainsworth has four locations in New York, two in New Jersey and one in Kansas.
“Nashville was a natural choice for our next location,” Brian Mazza, president of Paige Hospitality Group, said in a statement. “We fell in love with the city’s vibrant community and budding food and beverage scene, seeing an opportunity to bring something new to the table in the form of The Ainsworth’s unique, elevated take on sports bar culture.”
Mazza described The Ainsworth as a “sophisticated sports bar” with a focus on much more than sports. Mirrors can actually cover the televisions so diners won’t see the TVs when it’s not a big sports day. The locations in New York play a lot of '90s hip-hop music and only have game sound on for popular games.
The menu includes small plates, salads, gourmet burgers, sandwiches, tacos and more.
Joey Ray, formerly executive sous chef at The Hermitage Hotel, will lead the kitchen at The Ainsworth Nashville as executive chef. Garrett Tuttle will serve as general manager and William Hall will serve as assistant general manager.
