Flaherty & Collins Properties has sold Union Berkley Riverfront Park, a mixed-use luxury community located in Kansas City’s riverfront area. The company broke ground on the $72 million project at the end of 2016 and the property opened in the summer of 2018. Buckingham Companies is the new owner of the asset and, according to Yardi Matrix data, the sale was subject to a $90.5 million loan held and originated by LoanCore Capital.
Union Berkley Riverfront Park encompasses 407 luxury units and 12,400 square feet of retail space. The asset is located at 1000 Berkley Parkway, a few blocks north of downtown Kansas City, in the Berkley Riverfront Park area. Both interstates 35 and 29 are within 2 miles of the community.
Spread across 5 acres, the two four-story buildings include studio to three-bedroom units averaging 932 square feet. All units incorporate washer/dryers and common-area amenities include controlled access, fitness center, business center, swimming pool and covered parking.
