(Indianapolis) ‐ “Play it Forward” – Radio One and Buckingham Companies kick off a playhouse build to support the partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis. On May 10, 2012, in the parking lot of Key Bank located at 930 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202, Radio One and Buckingham Companies will build two identical houses, one for display and fundraising purposes and one to travel around to numerous summer events where the public will have the opportunity to enjoy the playhouse, vote on the best one and eventually bid on them. The build is planned to end at 4pm.

Radio One and Buckingham Companies are both humbled and honored to be given the opportunity to extend our services to one of our most valuable community partners, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis. The 2012 fundraising initiative for Habitat for Humanity is a progressive and fun way to get the entire Marion County and surrounding areas excited and involved in helping others’ build stable foundations for generations.

Radio One, Inc. secured the partnership with Buckingham Companies to give expertise on the plans and construction. Radio One, Inc. then reached out to Lowes to provide materials, Two Men and a Truck to help with the transportation throughout the summer, Donato’s to provide lunch the day of the build and Sam’s Club to provide water and snacks for all of the workers. Porter Paints has provided all the paint for the house. Local artist Kamali Dodson has provided the sketches and artwork for the mural on the back of the house.
