INDIANAPOLIS - The Alexander hotel has served as a satellite kitchen for Second Helpings since late March, now the effort has expanded to offer free accommodations for Indianapolis-area medical workers, including doctors, nurses, and first responders.
The CityWay located property offers extended-stay one-bedroom studios which include a refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher, all of which will be paid for by the Buckingham Foundation through the end of April.
“Buckingham Foundation initiated this mission to give back to the local medical community after considering the physical and mental strain experienced by these heroes who are altruistically serving those affected by the COVID-19 crisis,” said Barry Cockrum, general manager of The Alexander. “We are honored to offer this support, while continuing to serve as a Satellite Kitchen for Second Helpings.”
Medical workers wishing to take advantage of the offer may call the reservation desk or toll-free at 855-200-3002.
