INDIANAPOLIS – Buckingham Foundation, Inc. – the philanthropic partner of Buckingham Companies, announces its year‐end investments for 2014. Buckingham Foundation and Companies granted $205,000 to 45 organizations; employees invested 7,550 hours volunteering for 215 different nonprofit and civic organizations in central Indiana. Through their charitable giving and volunteer efforts, Buckingham Foundation continues to serve a critical role in creating positive change in the areas of affordable housing, community development, and arts and culture.

Buckingham Foundation’s unique approach to philanthropy includes three primary capabilities: to explore, achieve and innovate in a strategic effort to initiate positive change. In the past two months alone, Buckingham Foundation has coordinated employee and resident involvement in Movember, benefiting Men’s Health issues; Sneaker Week, benefiting Back on My Feet; Thanks for Giving, a week-long commitment to three local nonprofit organizations including: Wheeler Mission, Shepherd Community Center and Horizon House; and the foundation’s annual Charity Champs project, raising funds and collecting new clothes and toiletry items for the children served by Safe Families.
