The Ainsworth, billed as a "high-end sports bar," will officially open in Midtown on Wednesday, Nov. 14. The restaurant and bar will be located at 206 21st Ave. S. in the Aertson Midtown mixed-use development.

The Ainsworth's parent company, Paige Hospitality Group, is based in New York City, and already has several locations of The Ainsworth in the NYC area. For the new spot, the company tapped Nashville talent: Former Hermitage Hotel executive sous chef Joey Ray will serve as The Ainsworth's executive chef; Garrett Tuttle, formerly manager at Kayne Prime, will be the restaurant’s general manager; and William Hall will serve as the assistant general manager (he was previously at Acme Feed & Seed).

Ray, a culinary veteran, has worked with charity programs such as the Napa Valley BBQ & Beer Battle, winning the "best barbecue" title multiple years. Additionally, he has served as the host chef and competitor for the Nashville Cochon555 competition.

“Nashville was a natural choice for our next location,” says Brian Mazza, Paige Hospitality Group president. “We fell in love with the city’s vibrant community and budding food and beverage scene, seeing an opportunity to bring something new to the table in the form of The Ainsworth’s unique, elevated take on sports bar culture.”

The company's announcement notes that The Ainsworth will feature a full-service restaurant and bar, lounge and events area, adding that it's a multipurpose venue that "will cater to everything from corporate events and large game viewing parties to celebratory brunches."
