One-of-a-kind development heightens bar for mixed-use developments in Nashville following a successful 2017 full of retail offerings

Aertson Midtown, located adjacent to Vanderbilt University, recently opened two new retail offerings – Nada and Woodhouse Day Spa – to further enhance the residential and visitor experience of the destination. The mixed-use community of Aertson Midtown further transforms Nashville’s bustling Midtown neighborhood with culinary and amenity offerings unseen at other local developments, while also enhancing the walkability of the area for students, residents and visitors.

“Aertson Midtown brings together the best in retail tenants, residences and hospitality offerings Nashville has to offer,” said Chelsie Walker, leasing director of Aertson Midtown. “We’re pleased to see our own enthusiasm for this project and its tenants reflected in the Nashville community, and are excited to share our offerings with those who have been patiently waiting for a mixed-use community of this caliber.”

Aertson Midtown gives residents access to services and retail offerings they wouldn’t otherwise have. The community boasts an array of amenities previously unheard of in Nashville, including a rooftop pool with spanning views of the city, a lounge area with a state-of-the-art shared kitchen and espresso bar, a listening room, and a theater. Aertson Midtown also provides 24-hour in-room dining through Henley, upgraded valet parking, car washing options (valet or self-service), on-demand fitness and more.

In addition to the opening of the residences, Caviar & Bananas, Kimpton Aertson Hotel, and Henley this past year, Aertson Midtown’s offerings were further enhanced by the recent openings of Nada, a Mexican eatery, and Woodhouse Day Spa.

Nada, which opened earlier this month, reimagines Mexican cuisine with craveable twists on classic dishes, while incorporating inspiration from around the globe. With a menu designed for mixing and matching, sharing or enjoying solo, there is something for every palate.

“We’re passionate about smart, craveable food and serving others,” says Jono Fries, vice president and COO of Boca Restaurant Group, the entity behind Nada. “Nada allows guests to escape from the ordinary to experience something new with a fun, vibrant energy.”

After Aertson Midtown’s Woodhouse Day Spa opened its doors in late 2017, it has provided hundreds of Nashville residents and visitors with an experience unmatched in the local hospitality industry. The Woodhouse Day Spa, ranked best day spa in America by American Spa Magazine, is known for its dedication to wellness and stress relief.

“Our goal at Woodhouse Day Spa is to offer guests a chance to relax and renew themselves in its elegant facilities in their own backyard,” said Kim Stevens, President of Woodhouse Hospitality Group. “We want to be a destination location for residents and visitors alike – without the effort of travelling outside of the Midtown area.”

The Ainsworth, an acclaimed New York restaurant and bar, is currently slated for opening in April of this year.

“As we expand beyond the New York area, The Ainsworth seeks to locate in fascinating places where we can add flavorful food and warm hospitality while becoming part of a dynamic community,” said Brian Mazza, Partner and President of Paige Hospitality Group. “We chose Nashville because we appreciate the city’s huge musical influence and strong sports culture, and we chose Aertson Midtown because it reflects the lively energy that we love about Nashville. We look forward to bringing the unique Ainsworth brand of food and hospitality to the vibrant midtown neighborhood.”

Buckingham Companies, the Indianapolis-based developer behind Aertson Midtown, attracted the upscale retail tenants as a complement to the development’s impressive list of existing amenities. With 350 upscale apartments and the 180-room Kimpton Aertson Hotel, Aertson Midtown has multiplied the number of exclusive retail and restaurant offerings in the Vanderbilt area.
