VP, Acquisitions & Asset Management

Justin’s role as vice president of acquisitions and asset management puts him in the middle of quite a bit of action. He started his career in property management in Indianapolis and then moved to asset management in sunny Southern California. He came to Buckingham from HFF in Indianapolis, where he was responsible for underwriting debt and equity transactions. As a key member of the acquisition team, Justin is responsible for sourcing deals and maintaining relationships with institutional equity partners. He also supports the development team with analysis of new markets and the underwriting of potential deals, works closely with property management in meeting their analytical needs, and provides an asset management role to institutional joint-venture partners. Finally, he is involved in strategic planning, and financing and structuring debt and equity on new developments and acquisitions. If you can’t tell, Justin can’t get enough. He enjoys learning every aspect of the business and soaking up new knowledge. He enjoys the complexities of real estate so much that he spends his free time practicing it as well, owning several investment properties and a keeping a resume of successful “flip” projects. Justin completed his undergraduate work at Indiana University with degrees in finance and finance/real estate, and he also earned an MBA from Indiana’s Kelley School of Business. When he’s not practicing real estate (professionally or recreationally), he enjoys spending time with his wife, Khailey, who is a special education teacher; riding his bicycle; or hanging out on the golf course at Dye’s Walk.
