The mixed-use Aertson Midtown, located adjacent to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, recently opened its multifamily residences to the public. The mixed-use community enhances the walkability of the city’s Midtown neighborhood.

“The opening of Aertson Midtown residences is the culmination of the dedication, insights and collaboration of many talented individuals,” said Scott Travis, senior vice president of development at Indianapolis-based Buckingham Companies, in a written statement. “We’re pleased to see our own enthusiasm for this project reflected in the Nashville community, and are excited to share this milestone with those who have been patiently waiting for a mixed-use community of this caliber.”

The Residences at Aertson Midtown, named after Jan Aertson, the great-great-grandfather of Cornelius Vanderbilt of neighboring Vanderbilt University, include 350 living spaces – 24 studios, 215 one-bedrooms, 99 two-bedrooms and 12 three-bedrooms. The leased residences are available ranging from about $1,800 to $5,500 a month.

As a mixed-use community with the Kimpton Aertson Hotel and upscale retail tenants, Aertson Midtown gives residents access to services they wouldn’t otherwise have. The community boasts a rooftop pool with spanning views of Vanderbilt University, a lounge area with a state-of-the-art shared kitchen and espresso bar, a listening room and a theater. Aertson Midtown also provides 24-hour in-room dining through Henley, upgraded valet parking, car-washing options (valet or self-service), on-demand fitness and more.

Other residential highlights include a self-service bicycle repair shop, secure space for bicycle storage, an upgraded dry-cleaning service and an indoor/outdoor weather-protected dog park and dog wash station.

High-end retail tenants will further heighten the residential experience upon completion. The current schedule for each Aertson Midtown retail offering is as follows:

  • Caviar & Bananas – OPEN
  • Kimpton Aertson Hotel – OPEN
  • Henley – OPEN
  • Nada – Fall
  • The Woodhouse Day Spa at Aertson Midtown – Fall
